How to take train (KOMUTER) in Malaysia?

One of the most used public transport would be the train, or widely known as KOMUTER in Malaysia. I have no idea why it’s named that but in this guide you’ll find a basic idea on how to purchase a ticket to get to your destination.Free Image Hosting at www.ImageShack.us
First you’ll have to identify if there’s any train station nearby. You’ll see a big signboard like this. Walk inside to proceed. Please note that this train service only available for limited area around Klang Valley to Seremban ONLY.

You’ll see an identical place around different stations. Note in front there is 2 autopay machine that you can purchase the train ticket. Alternatively, you can buy from the counter.

First, we’ll choose a destination, for example, Subang Jaya.

Next, choose if you want a one-flow journey ticket or two-flow (that means the ticket would still valid if you return from Subang Jaya). I chose Single Journey instead.

The amount that you need to pay will be displayed on the screen. Prepare the correct amount of money, which both coins and money notes are accepted. No credit cards.

Next we’ll wait for the train, and we’ll have to go inside the terminal. And to proceed we’ll have to use our ticket. Notice the machine here? And the orange slot?

Do not go yet until you take the ticket. And then only move on.

Identify on which platform you’ll have to wait for the train to come. This is to make sure if you need to go over to the other side of the train station by crossing the bridge.

I would need to cross this bridge over to that side.

And wait there.

While waiting, please note it’s best not to stand near the yellow line when the train approaches. Please be patient and be seated on the provided seat while the train comes. There’ll be an indication wheen is the next train will come.
